Save the Date: Collage Workshop

Join us June 23 from 4:00 p.m.-6:00 p.m. at the Art & Soul Gallery for this fun and imaginative class taught by Marshelia Williams to create your very own whimsical collage using alcohol ink and Yupo paper! Learn basic color theory, along with alcohol ink techniques and collage application.

Take home an original creation using the processes learned in this 2 hour workshop.

Alcohol Ink Collage Workshops

Workshops are for all artistic levels. Learn to create your choice of an ink collage with or without resin. This 2 hour workshop first explores alcohol ink on Yupo paper, a fun and additive process. Then, your instructor will walk you through making your own one of a kind collage masterpiece (using the art papers you just created).

If you choose to use resin. All collages will stay at the studio for their resin finish, this will not be demonstrated during the workshop. All pieces will be finished with two layers of resin and ready for pick up at The Son's Creations Studio within 2 weeks.

What's included:

2 hours of guided instruction
One stained deep gallery wood panel (5x5 or 6x6)
Yupo paper and a variety of alcohol inks
Collage making tools/Acrylic Paints
Art Resin for a shiny protective finish

Resin Finish:

All collages will stay at the studio for their resin finish, (this process will not be demonstrated). All collages will be finished with two layers of resin and will be ready for pick up at The Son's Creations Studio within 2 weeks. All participants will be notified with a pick up date and time.

Workshops are 1 to 2 days of creative immersion in mixed media, art journaling, painting, and print making. These creative workshops are filled with the process driven exploration of creative mediums and applications in an intimate, supportive environment, challenging students to expand their creativity through the exploration of new artistic methods and mediums.
